The Adams County/Ohio Valley
School District will be using the following Inclement Weather Plan for the
2011-2012 school year. This plan will provide for closing, delay or early
dismissal of the schools in case of bad weather or for other emergencies.
In the case of implementation of
any of the elements in the plan, announcement will be made on the following
radio stations as early as possible:

PLAN ELEMENTS
-
CLOSED: If it is announced that all schools are
closed, we will be closing all buildings, and there will be no bus service
and no classes.
-
90-MINUTE DELAY: If it is announced that a 90-minute
delay is in effect, opening of the schools will be delayed by 90 minutes,
buses will run 90 minutes late, but classes will be conducted. If a bus
route is not run because of poor road conditions and if attendance is desired,
it will be the responsibility of the parent to transport the student to school.
If the parent brings the student(s) to school that day, then the responsibility
rests with that parent to pick up the student(s) at the close of the day.
Dismissal will be at the regular time.

EARLY DISMISSAL: If the announcement calls for an
early dismissal due to heat, road conditions, etc., the time for dismissal will
be announced. If a bus route is not run because of poor road conditions, it
will be the responsibility of the parent to pick up the student from school.
